私の家族！

こんにちは、みなさん！

今日は、私の家族を話します！

私の家族は五人家族ですよ、母が一人いて、父が一人います。そして、兄が二人います。母は５４さいで、父は５６さいです。母はやさしくて、りょうりが上手です。父はあたまがよくて、テニスが上手です。

私の一番上兄はマーク、２４さいです。上から二番目兄はブライアン、２３さいです。

マークはせがあまりながくなくて、かみがtちゃいろくて、みじかいです。そして、とてもしんせつとあたがいいです。けっこんしていません、でもかのじょがいます。ブライアンはたのしくておもしろいです。せがながくて、かおがまるいですよ。ブライアンもけっこんしていません、でもかのじょがいます。私の兄が大好き！

JPN 102 PE Goals!

Hi everyone! I hope you all have been doing well and had a relaxing break, and are just as ready to start the new semester as I am!

My PE goals for this semester are as follows:

1) Improve my grasp of fluency on the language, meaning that I want to be able to process a sentence in my head faster so that I can speak quickly and maintain a fast paced conversation. 
2) Improve pronunciation of difficult words, like かしこまりました,下さい, etc.
3) I want to be able to figure out in a reasonable time what a kanji means based on context, if it has multiple readings 
4) Expand my vocabulary and grammatical knowledge to understand different types of speaking (in anime, TV shows, or conversations)

To achieve my goals, I believe that I should:

1) Practice speaking Japanese with another person who is fluent in the language, whether it's a friend or a teacher at least once a week.
2) Be consistent in my practice and repeat words to memorize them better, at least 10 minutes a day.
3) Study lots of kanji, at least 20 minutes a day.
4) Watch anime weekly and try to take note of words and grammar forms that I don't know.

These are my goals for this semester, and I hope I can achieve them by the end of this year!

私の好きな食べの！

こんいちわ、みなさん！
今日、私の好きなを話します。

私はしょっぱいとあまいの食べものが大好きです。たとえば、とんかつやラーメンが好きです。でも、からいの食べものは好きじゃありません。毎日、とんかつとラーメンを食べたいですけど、カロリーがおおうので、この食べものを食べません。私の一番好きな食べものはtチキンてりやき。あま糸しょっぱいので、チキンてりやきが大好きです。デザートの中で、私の一番好きな食べものはイチゴもちアイスクリーム。とてもやわらかいですね。。。

PE Evaluation!

Overall, I'm actually quite happy with my progress in the Japanese language. Before taking this course, I always thought that Japanese would be incredibly difficult to learn, and I would never be able to memorize and be comfortable with using it. Half of that is still true, but taking JPN 101 has really helped me! It still is very difficult and there's a lot to pay attention to, but it's fun and manageable.

PE Self-Evaluation

I think I've accomplished nearly all of my goals! I can say with confidence that I know the hiragana and katakana alphabet completely, and the speed at which I speak Japanese is much faster. Although I still not have completely mastered pitch, I am trying to get better at it! I also think that listening to clips of actual Japanese content has become easier for me and I can understand as well as read it much better. I am very satisfied with how this semester has gone, and I'm excited for JPN 102!

ふゆ休み！

私のふゆ休みはとてもよくて、たのしがったです。しゅくだいがないので、たくさんゆっくりしました。うちにかえて、かぞくとあいました。かぞくとおいしいたべものをたべました！そして、私のいぬとあそびました。たのしかったです。でもいぬとねこと、ねこの方が好きです。ねこがほしいです、でも私のはははねこがきらいなので、ねこがありません。ざんねんですね。一月みっかにプリンストンにかえて、たくさんべんきょしました。
